Custom tropical wallpaper, rattan furnishings, and brass light fixtures serve as an exuberant backdrop to this gorgeous oyster bar in the financial district of San Francisco. Straight from the 50s, Leo’s Oyster Bar recalls the tropical glamour of Palm Beach in its glory days.
A universe of rose-colored onyx bar tops, vintage glassware, shell-shaped wall sconces, and botanical palm wallpaper all come together to create an environment that is simultaneously upscale and playful.
Midcentury retro glamour is, indeed, the key word here according to the designers, Ken Fulk and Jon de la Cruz.
“It’s as if Don Draper and Betsy Bloomingdale had a baby” Fulk says, adding “The space feels unapologetically nostalgic and glamorous […] It’s the perfect place to start an affair.”
