Occupying the historical Simon Kalfa building, which is a listed Grade A wooden waterside mansion named after its architect who helped to build many Ottoman palaces and mosques back in the 19th century, the House Hotel Bosphorus combines interiors by local design studio Autoban with breathtaking views over the Bosphorus.
Using their trademark materials including marble, brass, oak, and walnut, Autoban furnishes the hotel with majority of the furniture and light fixtures adapted from their archive. The guest rooms feature caned bedsteads and armchairs, asymmetrical wooden tables with steel-rod legs, and globe chandeliers hung from a web of their own electrical cables. The suites are also equipped with hamam-inspired bathrooms made of marble and glass.
